My goal is to achieve aesthetic normalcy through the artistry of plastic surgery.

Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation or augmentation mammoplasty is a surgical procedure that can enhance the size of your breasts. This typically involves the use of breast implants.  The procedure can enhance the volume and projection of your breasts while improving ones self-esteem.  Genetics can contribute to the underdevelopment or paucity of breast tissue, and weight loss, pregnancy and/or the natural aging process can contribute to the loss of breast volume.

Dr. Silverman considers you a candidate for a augmentation mammoplasty if:

  1. You are unhappy with the volume of your breasts
  2. You are physically healthy
  3. Your breasts are fully developed
  4. You have asymmetrical breasts
  5. You have realistic goals

Breast lift

A breast lift or mastopexy is a surgical procedure that reshapes sagging breasts and raises the location of the nipple areola complex. A woman’s breast can lose its shape and form over time, especially with pregnancy, breast feeding and weight loss. Excess skin and potentially some breast tissue is removed and the remaining tissue is repositioned to establish better contour of the breast.

Dr. Silverman considers you a candidate for a mastopexy if:

  1. Your breasts sag or do not have the shape they once had
  2. Your breasts are flat with decreased volume to the superior pole of breasts
  3. Your nipples point downward or are located below the inframmary fold or breast crease
  4. You are a healthy patient
  5. You have realistic goals

Breast reduction

A breast reduction or reduction mammoplasty is a surgical procedure that removes breast tissue and skin to decrease the overall size of the breast.  Large breasts, macromastia or breast hypertrophy, can cause back, neck and shoulder pain.  Some patients experience rashes or infections underneath their breasts.  These symptoms can affect a patient’s activities of daily living and can cause emotional distress.  The goal of a breast reduction is to alleviate these symptoms.

Dr. Silverman considers you a candidate for a reduction mammoplasty if:

  1. You have large breasts
  2. You suffer from back, neck or shoulder pain
  3. You suffer from rashes or infections under your breasts
  4. You suffer from headaches
  5. You are self-conscious because of the size of breasts
  6. You are a healthy patient
  7. You have realistic goals
